Morris Lubricants invests in delivering quality

Ensuring that customers receive the correct engine oil has never been more important due to advances in modern engine technology. Any contamination of oils can prove a very expensive business for all concerned.

That’s why leading British independent oil blender and marketers, Morris Lubricants, is leading the way by installing a separate hose reel and pump on its fleet of vehicles to deliver new generation lubricants.

The pioneering move by the Shrewsbury-based company is designed to remove the slightest chance of cross contamination of engine oils delivered to customers across the UK.

Morris Lubricants has equipped the first of its fleet of delivery vehicles, a new DAF CF75-310, with an additional hose real and pump, which will be dedicated to low SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorous and Sulphur) lubricants.

“Because we take great pride in supplying premium quality products it’s imperative that our customers receive exactly what they ordered without contamination,” said managing director Andrew Goddard.

“Modern engine technology requires very stringent controls on additive levels and we cannot afford any cross contamination with traditional mineral based products. Using the wrong engine oils can prove extremely costly to the motorist or the haulage operator.

“I am delighted that Morris Lubricants is again leading the way in the industry by installing this equipment on our delivery vehicles to pump low SAPs product.”

The company has a fleet of a dozen, 26 tonne delivery lorries and two bulk tankers. Each of the vehicles travels around 80,000 kilometres a year making deliveries to customers from Land’s End to John O’Groats.

The new DAF 75C 310 Space Cab 26 tonne rigid has been supplied by Greenhous DAF in Shrewsbury and represents an investment of around £85,000 by Morris Lubricants. The DAF CF Series has been voted Fleet Truck of the Year for eight of the last 10 years.

Morris Lubricants was formed in 1869 and today offers a wide range of lubricants for automotive, agricultural and industrial uses. The company offers exceptional products and customer service not only to the UK but also to 65 global markets.
