Morris Lubricants’ ECO-SYN 10W-40 is a top tier, heavy duty, diesel-specific engine oil that has been designed to meet the necessary chemical limits required to maintain the efficiency of exhaust after-treatment devices, especially DPF’s (diesel particulate filters) and SCR / EGR NOX reduction systems.
The profile of ECO-SYN 10W-40 provides the highest level of rationalisation potential in mixed fleets where a number of manufacturers, models and engine technologies are being used.
The low SAPS (Sulphated Ash, Phosphorus and Sulphur) additive technology, coupled with synthetic base fluids, also ensures a high level of component protection and cleanliness when operating in very severe conditions with extended drain intervals.
ECO-SYN 10W-40 is designed for use in diesel engines meeting Euro IV, V and VI emission requirements where an oil of this quality is specified. It can also be used in combination with low sulphur diesel fuel (maximum 50ppm).
Morris Lubricants is Britain’s leading family-owned, independent oil blenders and marketers. The company, which employs 140 people, has around 4,000 customers in all corners of the UK and exports to more than 65 countries worldwide.
The Shrewsbury-based company manufactures an extensive range of lubricants formulated and developed for the modern mixed fleet. The latest emissions legislation is the main driver behind engine and transmission hardware developments and Morris Lubricants is committed to providing the fleet operator with the essential lubricants to ensure their correct operation.
Exhaust after-treatment devices, including Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs) have created the need for new advanced lubricant additive chemistry.
In addition, innovation in the area of transmissions, which includes the use of greater electronic control, has resulted in the need for more responsive fluids that are required to operate under longer and more arduous operating regimes. The company has added these new generation lubricants to its fleet range.
